Computer Lab or Cart Deployment/Management

What Is It?

Use this category to request services related to managing a group of devices such as a computer lab, laptop cart, or iPad cart. Please do not use these services for requests related to individual devices.

Please understand that developing solutions for large groups of computers requires additional work and testing. These types of requests may take longer to complete than normal.

** New software to the district computer is subjected to Privacy Impact Assessments before they can be deployed. 

Who Is Eligible to Use It?

School Administrators and teachers who are responsible for a computer lab or computer/ipad cart.

How Do I Use It?

Use one of the service offering buttons on the right. You will be asked to provide details about the lab/cart and the nature of the request. IT staff will reach out to you for additional details and updates as required.

How Much Does It Cost?

There may be a cost (one time or annual) that will be changed back to the school if needed for software license costs.

Incidental charges may  be incurred and charged back to the school for the cost of setting up a new computer lab or cart (laptops or iPads)

Service Offerings (4)

Application Deployment
Use this service offering to request application deployments for an entire lab or cart. It should not be used for singular device application requests.
Configuration Change
Use this service offering to request a configuration change to a lab or cart of devices. This is used for changes that are not application deployments, such as adding desktop shortcuts, changing system settings, changing system behavior, display settings, etc.
New Lab/Cart Setup
Use this service offering to request an IT setup of a new lab or cart when physical setup is required. Can also be used for move requests (ex. moving an entire lab to a new room, moving ipads to a new cart)
Re-Imaging
Request the re-imaging of an entire lab or cart. Devices will be wiped clean and re-configuring to a starting baseline. ALL data and applications will be lost during re-imaging. Typically this type of request will only be performed during school breaks.
