Audio Visual Set Up - How to cast Macbook to an Epson Projector using iProjection

Purpose: The purpose of the guide is to show how to install iProjection on Macbook laptops.

Audience: This guide is for SD35 employees needing screen cast from their Macbook laptops.

Estimated time to complete: 5 minutes
 

List any requirements (e.g., “You’ll need to be connected to the company network.”)

• Macbook connected to district network
• Epson Projector connected to network via Ethernet

Step 1: Go to https://epson.com/support/wireless-projector-support  

• Scroll down and select "Download for Mac"
• Once the file downloads, open the installer "iProj_4.01.dmg"
• Allow the package to run
• Agree to terms of the software
• Select standard edition
• Install for all users of this computer and authenticate installer to proceed to installation
  

Step 2: Connect Mac to Projector

• Locate the Epson iProjection App
• Select the "Advanced Connection Mode" and OK
• Select the projector from the Projector List or select "Manual Search" if the projector is not showing in the list
• Enter the IP Address of the projector and Search
• Select the projector and register it to add to the Profile list
• Select Connect and enter the Projector Keyword
• Navigate to the Epson iProjection window and select the Cast button to share your screen

  • App Crashes or Freezes 
    • Solution: Restart the app and ensure it is updated to the latest version. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app
       
  • Unable to Connect to Projector
    • Solution: Verify that the projector and your device are on the same network. Use the "Manual Search" option and enter the projector's IP address if it doesn't appear in the list
       
  • Projector Not Found in List
    • Solution: Ensure the projector is powered on and connected to the network. Check the network settings and make sure the SSID Auto Setting is enabled
       
  • App Not Responding
    • Solution: Force stop the app. Restart your device and try again
       
  • Screen Sharing Issues
    • Solution: Confirm that the projector supports screen sharing and that the necessary permissions are granted on your device. Restart both the projector and the app
