Overview

Purpose: This guide explains how to access and join Attendance groups in Office 365.

Audience: This guide is for staff who need to join Attendance groups (School Administrators and Clerical).

Estimated time to complete: 5 minutes

Prerequisites

You’ll need to be connected to the Internet and have access to Office 365.

Step-by-step Instructions

Step 1: Open Outlook

  • Open Outlook on your computer.
  • Click on the navigation bar to select "Groups".

Step 2: Discover Groups

  • On the Group Home tab, select "Discover Groups".
  • Enter the group name (e.g., "Attendance") in the search box or scroll through the list to find the group you want to join.


     

Step 3: Join the Group

  • Select the group you want to join.
  • Click "Join" or "Request to Join".
  • If the group is private, your request will be sent to the group's admin for approval.
     
Troubleshooting
  • If you have been added to a group, you can leave the group at any time:
    • From the navigation bar, select "Groups".
    • Select the group you want to leave.
    • Click "Group Settings".
    • Select "Leave Group".
