Sign in to a Teams desk phone

Overview

Purpose: To sign in your account to a desktop Teams phone 

Audience: Staff

Estimated time to complete: 5 minutes
 

Prerequisites

Polycom or Yealink desktop phone

MS Teams account
 

Step-by-step Instructions

Step 1: On your computer or mobile device's browser open https://microsoft.com/devicelogin

Step 2: Get the code on the desk phone, if you don't see a code tap on Refresh code.

  

 

Step 3: Enter the code shown on the desktop phone, and click Next


 

Step 4: Sign in with your SD35 email address, and click Next.​​​​​​​  ​​​​​​​

Step 5: Enter your password, and click Sign in ​​​

Step 6: Click Continue to confirm that you are trying to sign in​​​​​​​​​​​​​​  ​​​​​​​

 

Step 7: You’ll see a confirmation message indicating that pairing has started, you can close the browser tab. ​​​​​​​  ​​​​​​​

Step 8: The phone will retrieve your Microsoft account information, which may take a few minutes.  Once it has finished, tap Next on the screen prompts until you get the main screen (screenshot below) then phone is ready to use.  Tap on Calls button to make calls.  

 

Troubleshooting
  • If sign in fails start over from step 1 making sure you have the correct password (same as your email password), if it still fails contact IT Support
