Overview
Purpose: Classroom Teams have unique permissions and features for teachers and students. As owners of the team, teachers assign work, share class content, and control who can post in the team. Each class team is also linked to its own OneNote Class Notebook.

Step-by-step Instructions
Step 1: Select Teams from the app bar

Step 2: Select Join or Create team

Step 3: Select Create team

Step 4: From Templates select Class

Step 5: Click on Use this template

Step 6: Enter a name for your team using the Naming Convention explained in step 7, add a description if desired then click Create. You will then be prompted to add students, you can add now or you can add later (follow step 8).
Step 7: Naming Convention
For consistency, Langley School District requests that the following naming conventions be used. These are meant to ensure that students can easily navigate the Teams environment.

Step 8: Add students to the team by clicking the options menu (...) and then select add member, type in name or email of student, make sure their permission is set to Member and then click Add
