Overview
Purpose: These are instructions show how to mirror a Windows or Mac laptop to a classroom or meeting room with a Viewshare device.
Audience: Teachers and District staff

Prerequisites
TV or projector with a Viewshare device installed
Windows or Mac laptop
Step-by-step Instructions for Windows laptop
Step 1: Turn on TV or Projector in the classroom and in the Viewshare main screen find the device name

Step 2: On the Windows laptop press the Windows + K button, select the name of your Viewshare device

Step 3: If you get a prompt to select audio device click on Digital Output (Viewshare name) then click the Select button

Step 4: On the next screen you will be prompted to choose Duplicate or Extend. If you want the TV or projector to show a copy of your screen choose Duplicate, if you want it to be a second screen then choose Extend. Do not use Second screen only as this will cause your laptop screen to go black.

Step 5: To stop mirroring press Windows + K button and in the cast screen click the Disconnect button

Step-by-step Instructions for Mac laptop
Step 1: Turn on TV or Projector in the classroom and in the Viewshare main screen find the device name

Step 2: On the Mac click on the control center icon and then click on Screen mirror

Step 3: In the Screen Mirroring pop up select the Viewshare device for your room

Step 4: When prompted enter the PIN code provided


Step 5: On the next screen you will be prompted to choose Entire Screen or Extended Display. If you want the TV or projector to show a copy of your screen choose Entire Screen, if you want it to be a second screen then choose Extended Display, then click on Start Mirroring.

Step 6: If you don't get sound on the TV or projector click on Control Center then Sound, then select your Viewshare device as the Output


Troubleshooting
- If you don't see the Viewshare screen make sure TV or Projector is on and try change the inputs.
